Hand-Crafted, Pure Organic Maple Syrup
At Tappers, crafting organic maple syrup using sustainable forestry standards is so important to us. Sustainable forestry is about caring for and managing forests to provide the natural resources we need now and in the future. And it also produces the best tasting maple syrup on the market! We make every batch by hand in Wisconsin and deliver it fresh to you.

Tapping the Maple

Collecting sap from trees is the first step in making maple syrup. The sap flows best when the temperature is below freezing at night and above freezing during the day. One tree can produce up to 4 gallons of sap in one day! The season is short, typically from late February or early march and runs thru early - mid April. Once the trees bud the season is over...

Collecting Sap
_Moment.jpg)
Sap is collected from maple trees in late winter / early spring. The freshest sap makes the best syrup. We collect the raw sap and make it into finished syrup on a daily basis during "the season". Sap flows thru the woods thru tubing under vacuum pressure. It is an incredible site to witness.
Measuring Sugar

Sap collected from our trees has a sugar content of between 1.75 and 3.25%. We process and boil the sap until the sugar content reaches 66 - 67% sugar (brix). That is when it becomes Maple Syrup...It takes roughly 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup!
Maple Sugar

Our Maple Sugar is as pure as our syrup! Maple sugar can be used in any recipe as a 1:1 replacement for sugar. Use in coffee, tea or as an ingredient in your prized recipes, you'll taste the difference. 100% natural with a low glycemic index.
